January 2--Sizzling combinations for Egyptian, Lebanese and Turkish Oriental dance-this is an extension of Aradia's instructional DVD, we will learn combinations that can used in oriental show with an emphasis on improvisation
January 9--Sensual Taqsim--explore the passionate side of oriental dance as we learn about the different instruments used for taqsim, and methods of using your body to interpret that instrument
January 16--Folklore!! Classical Persian--learn the delicate hand gestures and gliding movements to 6/8 rhythms that make classical Persian dance fun and playful. This dance is about being cute and coy!!!
January 23--Rock the House Drum Solo!!--we will cover shimmy drills for oriental and folkloric style shimmies, incorporate them into a drum solo with emphasis on combinations and working with live drummers.
Remember, space is limited, so register early!! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
